Noon International Global Mango Purée Outlook What Food and Beverage Buyers Need to Know in Late 2025

If mango purée is part of your ingredient strategy, the latest developments across India, Mexico, and Colombia are worth a closer look. The market is shifting fast, and what you secure—or don’t—now could shape your product costs and margins through the first half of 2026.

India: Abundant Supply, Record-Low Pricing, and a Slow Climb Back

India is leading the global market in volume and value, largely because of a bumper crop that has flooded processors with fruit—particularly Totapuri and Alphonso varieties. Combined with government subsidies and a weakened domestic fruit price, this oversupply has sent mango purée pricing to record lows. Totapuri Mango Concentrate (28 brix) and Totapuri Mango Purée (14 brix) are both at multiyear lows, a situation not seen since before the 2020s.

While some might see this as a red flag, it’s actually an opportunity—particularly for North American brands looking to develop new tropical-flavored SKUs or reinforce price competitiveness. Even more promising is the renewed demand coming from the U.S., now that regulatory clarity has returned regarding the 25% reciprocal tariff on Indian imports. With that hurdle addressed, buyer activity—especially for Totapuri purée—has reactivated.

Still, European uptake remains sluggish due to a hefty carryover and market saturation. This has created downward pricing pressure, but Indian producers are watching December closely as a likely inflection point for demand resurgence.

Mexico: A Season of Strong U.S. Demand and Limited Availability

In Mexico, the 2025 mango purée season is winding down with less fruit available for late-season contracting. While harvest quality held steady for most of the season, lower fruit brix levels in mid-July impacted concentrate yields, tightening supply just as demand picked up.

U.S. buyers have been particularly active—favoring Mexico’s proximity, processing standards, and varietal options. But even though pricing remains firmer compared to India, most volumes were already booked by mid-June, limiting new entry points.

For European buyers, however, Mexico has faced stiff competition from India on both price and availability, further compressing margins and slowing trade.

If your team hasn’t already secured volume from Mexico, alternative options may need to be explored—especially for projects requiring high-brix mango concentrates or products that prioritize traceability and North American sourcing.

Colombia: Under Negotiation, But Growing as a Viable Source

While not as dominant in volume as India or Mexico, Colombia remains a player to watch. Negotiations for upcoming purée contracts are ongoing, and its reputation for consistency, particularly in Totapuri-like flavor profiles and vibrant color, continues to attract attention—especially among premium beverage and frozen novelty manufacturers.

Colombian processors are also taking advantage of global market dynamics to position their purée as a mid-range option: not as price-sensitive as India, but more flexible than Mexico for certain specs. Expect more activity here in Q4 as companies seek to diversify sourcing and reduce dependency on any single origin.

Why It Matters

Whether you’re in juice, ice cream, smoothies, or frozen dessert manufacturing, now is the time to assess your mango purée strategy. From formulation flexibility to freight optimization, there are windows of opportunity depending on your spec, region, and volume.

The takeaway? The market is currently offering record lows from India, tightening availability from Mexico, and a rising alternative in Colombia. The right choice depends on your priorities—cost, quality, origin, or processing needs.
