Most people today are aware of the basic benefits of blueberries…they’re extremely high in nutrients, delicious to eat and low in calories. One cup of blueberries contains 24% of the RDI of Vitamin C, 36% of the RDI of Vitamin K, 25% of the RDI of Manganese as well as 4 grams of fiber. When you eat a cup of blueberries it’s all about good health and you’ll only count 84 calories and 15 grams of carbs.
In addition, blueberries have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all fruits and vegetables. Other benefits include lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of heart disease (blueberries are rich in anthocyanins which also helps to lower blood sugar levels). It’s no wonder that they’re considered a superfood and have become very popular.
But there is even more exciting news to share!

In one of the studies, 10 kinds of component samples were made using extractions through hot water method from the leaves and stems. Each of the samples was added to cells cultured from monkey kidneys and they were then infected with COVID-19. “In one of these, more than 99% of the toxicity was eliminated and inactivity was confirmed.” Over the years they have also studied the effects of suppressing adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) using the leaf stems of blueberries.
